As RÖDER, together with our Greek partner CON.TENT Ltd., successfully supplied several test events for the Pre-Olympics last year, we were appointed one of the main suppliers for the even more challenging job - the Olympic Games 2004 in Athens, Greece - .
More than 30.000 sqm, divided in over 500 separate tent structures, had, within an extremely tight time schedule, to be covered. The excellent performance of our crews under such circumstances, finishing in time and using top quality, is second to nothing (gold metal?).
The largest venue was a tent 100m x 150m (partly two-storey) hosting a restaurant in the Olympic village for athletes, representatives and media, with a capacity of 15.000 seats.
More than 20.000 sqm of tent structures were also used during the Paralympics.
